Pre-Dental Requirements

The courses listed below will satisfy the basic requirements at many dental schools. It is important to consult with your academic advisor and pre-health advisor when planning your schedule.

Pre-Dental Advising

Penn pre-health advisors, along with  Career Services, can help guide you through many of the logistics involved in applying to dental schools. Student Doctor Network (SDN) is another valuable resources to help with course planning, DAT prep, and applying to dental school.

DAT RESOURCES

Understanding the DATs

The DAT is a dental education admission test designed to provide dental education programs with a means of assessing applicants. The DAT is administered year round by Prometric test centers. The exam tests Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Critical Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Perceptual Ability.
