WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR MEMBERSHIP?
Becoming a member is simple! Email us at pennpredentalsociety@gmail.com to subscribe to our listserv. A semesterly membership fee of $5 is required.
IS THERE ANY SPECIFIC MAJORÂ I SHOULD PURSUE THAT WILL IMPROVE MY CHANCES OF ADMISSION?
There is no specific path towards dental school. Non-science majors however should consider taking some advanced coursework beyond the basic prerequisites.
WHATÂ OPPORTUNITIESÂ ARE THERE TO MEET OTHER PRE-DENTAL STUDENTS?
We host various coffee chats and dinners throughout the year to meet other pre-dental students at Penn, in the University City and first and second year students at Penn Dental.
WHERE CAN I FIND MORE SHADOWING OPPORTUNITIES?
Shadowing opportunities can be provided through the Penn Dental Mentor/Mentee program or the alumni network. For more information, call 215-898-8023.
WHERE CAN I FIND MORE VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES?
Pre-dental students can find volunteering opportunities through Pereleman, CHOP, and Civic House. Other opportunities can be found at organizations and clinics near West Philadelphia and Center City.
